It is a very powerful survey system to map underground utilities. Different antenna frequencies are used to reach different depth of investigation.Typically , the data processing of GPR has been very time consuming.

Our company plans to make this a redundant method , by use of AI & ML.

  • Road & Bridges
  • Civil Infreatructure
  • Geological Mapping
  • Soil Subsidence Study

Geo-Radar Applications:

Following are some of the application areas for GPR surveys and tasks:

Road & Bridges

Roads and bridges can be scanned in an efficient and non-destructive manner using the latest in geophysical methods. Georadar, as applied to the evaluation of road surfaces, allows the efficient and precise recording of road layer thicknesses. Results are entirely digital, and hence this information can easily be imported into a road management software suite for further analysis.
Accurate road repair methods can be very difficult when information regarding the thickness and quantity of the existing surface is lacking. Examination of the layer thicknesses may help resolving conflicts between clients and contractors.
RBT’s Road Radar system obtains high-resolution asphalt and granular thickness data at sub-meter intervals all collected non-intrusively, at speeds of up to 80 km/hr.

Georadar is a technique with wide possibilities for civil infrastructure studies.

RBT has extensive experience in the georadar investigation of tunnels, concrete or rockfill dams, bridges, roads, railways and civil infrastructure.
Using ground radar technology, civil infrastructure can be scanned safely and efficiently.  Problem areas can be identified while on-site for further investigation or remediation.
Georadar assesses nondestructively:
  • Voids within and under concrete
  • The quality of concrete
  • Rebar locations and their depth
  • The thickness of the concrete
  • Construction of rockfill dams
  • Rebar locations and their depth.

Geological Mapping

Georadar provides an accurate, non-destructive means of mapping the earth's subsurface. Geologic features such as stratigraphic layering, sink-holes, depth to bedrock, karst features, groundwater contact and bedrock features can be mapped quickly using TOJO VIKAS's wide range of available antenna frequencies.

Soil Subsidence Study

Georadar is commonly used for the detection of voids or soil subsidence beneath concrete slabs and roadways; and within rock and soils. The technique has also been used to successfully identify the locations of abandoned mine stopes.
